The Northern Territory Electricity System and Market Operator (NTESMO) has completed its consultation on the development and amendment of the Scheduling and Dispatch Guideline and System Control Plant Outage Procedure for the Darwin-Katherine Power System.
The consultation was undertaken to improve the clarity and usability of the scheduling, dispatch and outage planning framework, align the documents with current operational practices, and support the ongoing development of the Territory electricity market.
The consultation was undertaken in two rounds. The first round sought stakeholder feedback on the proposed changes. Following consideration of first-round submissions, NTESMO published its responses and amended draft documents for a second round of consultation. NTESMO has now considered the second-round submissions and finalised both documents.
The final documents and consultation outcomes are provided below. Links to the earlier stages of consultation are also provided to maintain access to the complete consultation record without duplicating previously published material.
Second-round submissions were received from Territory Generation and Assure Energy NT and addressed matters relating to both the Scheduling and Dispatch Guideline and the System Control Plant Outage Procedure.

The final Scheduling and Dispatch Guideline and System Control Plant Outage Procedure take effect from 19 October 2026.
