28 September 2026 - Market notice – NTESMO Communications Guideline

The Market Operator advises market participants and interested stakeholders that three procedures issued under the System Control Technical Code (SCTC) have been updated and republished on the NTESMO website.

The following procedures have been updated:

1. IES Deemed Load Profile Procedure
2. NMI Allocation Procedure
3. Settlement Statements and Timetable Procedure

Nature of the Updates

The amendments made to these procedures are administrative in nature only and have been undertaken to:

• Update NTESMO branding and logos.
• Improve document accessibility and usability requirements.
• Update formatting, diagrams, and document presentation.

The Market Operator confirms that the updates do not introduce any changes to:

• Participant obligations;
• Roles and responsibilities;
• Operational processes;
• Timelines;
• Technical requirements;
• Settlement methodologies; or
• Any other substantive provisions of the procedures.

As the amendments are administrative only and do not alter the intent or operation of the procedures, the Market Operator has determined that formal consultation is not required.

Withdrawal of Procedure

The Market Operator also advises that the following procedure has been withdrawn:

• Metrology: Metering Data Substitution and Estimation Procedure

This procedure is no longer required as the relevant requirements are now provided for under Chapter 7A of the Northern Territory National Electricity Rules (NT NER).
