NTESMO has completed its consultation on proposed changes to the Communications Guideline and associated Market Settlements and Transfer Solutions (MSATS) and Business-to-Business (B2B) procedures.
The consultation was conducted under clause S7A.1.3 of the Northern Territory National Electricity Rules (NT NER), in accordance with the Rules Consultation Procedures in clause 8.9 of the NT NER.
This notice informs Northern Territory Electricity Market participants, the Australian Energy Market Operator and other interested persons that NTESMO has published its Final Report and Determination.
Publication of the Final Report and Determination concludes the consultation process.
The Final Report and Determination outlines the consultation process, stakeholder feedback and NTESMO’s final position on the Communications Guideline, MSATS and B2B procedures.
Effective date: The version 1.6 Communications Guideline, MSATS and B2B procedures take effect on 1 November 2026.

NTESMO invited written submissions on the proposed changes, including alternative or additional proposals that could provide a more efficient information-exchange process for the Northern Territory Electricity Market.
Two submissions were received during the first-stage consultation. No submissions were received during the second-stage consultation.
The consultation closed at 5pm Australian Central Standard Time on Friday 26 June 2026.
