Non-Reliable Notices are issued based on generation shortfall in meeting the forecasted demand and also the inability to maintain sufficient responsive supply reserves to meet credible contingency events.
In reference to clauses 3.7.1 and 3.7.2 of the System Control Technical Code, System Control issues Non-Reliable Notices to meet its obligation to notify participants of the estimated period of the Lack of Stand-by generation, the estimated generation shortfall value, and its estimated time of occurrence, at the time the declaration is made.
Table 1 below summarises active Non-Reliable Notices, which affect system participants in the Darwin-Katherine, Tennant Creek, and Alice Springs Power Systems.
Table 2 below summarises historical Non-Reliable Notices that have either expired or been cancelled based on the forecasted demand and the available generation.

Note: A declaration of LOS2 automatically indicates an LOS1 situation, while a declaration of LOS3 automatically indicates both LOS1 and LOS2 situations. This is not applicable for ASPS as only LOS2 and LOS3 situations applies.
